Incidence des « mondialités islamiques » : Huntington 1993
Dans « The Clash of Civilizations? », 41 :
The very notion that there could be a ‘universal civilization’ is a Western idea, directly at odds with the particularism of most Asia societies and their emphasis on what distinguishes one people from another.
Not entirely clear what « Asia » covers here. Just beforehand, mention of the line « Islamic, Confucian, Japanese, Hindu, Buddhist or Orthodox cultures ». Asia as Orient, quite plausibly here. The level of treatment, in generalities, allowing for all convenient substitutions & legerdemain.
A quoi renvoyer donc les universalismes et les transnationalités islamiques, au moins.
