Another interest in the Episodic Memoir of 1977 : getting back to Merton’s prose, in his central role, and hearing his voice there. Neither that of the OTSOG playfulness, nor that of commentators and chroniclers of his achievements, but his daily activity in drafting, articulating, tracing sociological patterns and formation genealogies.
